The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
